A retired United States Air Force (USAF) C-17 pilot, Charles Polomsky garnered the Air Force Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and numerous other commendations over his two decades in the military. Prior to joining the USAF, Charles Polomsky studied mechanical engineering at the USAF Academy, where he competed as a member of the school’s Division I golf team.

The USAF Academy golf team practices and plays at the Eisenhower Golf Club. Located a short distance from the academy, the club has two 18-hole courses, one of which, the Blue Course, has earned recognition as the top Department of Defense course by Travel and Leisure Golf magazine and been named among the top 100 courses in the United States by USA Today. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the par-72 course is 7,301 yards in length from the championship tees and offers mesmerizing Rocky Mountain views.

The Silver Course, meanwhile, is a shorter 6,519 yards in length from the championship tees and presents similar awe-inspiring views. In addition to open play, the club offers golf clinics and instruction as well as a junior golf program in the summer. It also hosts an annual Division I tournament in September.
